Bathroom renovations featuring the Granicrete process: Granicrete is an environmentally conscious process that allows the installer to apply the product right over old formica, vinyl flooring, sheetrock, ceramic tile, or wood, thus preventing these from ending up in our landfills. Granicrete is a cement-based product that can be colored in an infinite array of colors. It can be made to look like marble, granite, slate, soapstone, travertine, or just about any natural stone. |

![]() ![]() The bathroom above was not utilizing the space well. It had a
tiny vanity, which necessitated the addition of a plastic drawer unit
for storage. You can see where the 32" by
32" plastic shower stall stood in the photo above. It was faced away from the light, which made
it dark and just plain disgusting. Integrity Repairs installed
Granicrete right on the sheetrock walls and sheet vinyl flooring to
replicate the look of travertine. A new vanity cabinet was topped with a
custom made Granicrete countertop and a vessel sink. The finishing
touch was a beautiful 36" by 60" Granicrete shower stall with a natural
river rock floor. A linen closet behind the bathroom door provided
additional space for storage. The photos below show the bathroom after the Granicrete makeover. ![]() ![]() For more information on our Granicrete installations, visit our Granicrete website at: http://www.granicretecountertops.com |
This bathroom doesn't look too bad in the "before" photo,
but the bamboo mats had to be glued to the ceramic tile floor so they
wouldn't slide. The floor was so slick, the homeowners said it was
actually dangerous to step out of the shower before they installed the
mats. The shoji screen was placed there to hide the hideous shower! It
was an acrylic, one-piece tub-and-shower unit that was stained and cracked.
Integrity Repairs installed a new soaker tub and Granicrete tub
surround. Granicrete was also applied over the slick marble-look
ceramic tile. The vanity was old and covered with bead board. A new
vanity, mirror, and medicine cabinet, topped with a custom-made
Granicrete countertop and double sinks added the finishing touch! ![]() Above: Before Below: After ![]() ![]() |
